Yes, we are still collecting hair, fur & fleece. Especially as oil is coming in
to the beaches.
We are sending out addresses everyday as fast as we can clear space. Thanks for
your emails and your patience. Since April 30th, thousands of individuals and
over 40,000 businesses have signed up, some with hundreds of salons and groomers
under their corporate offices, so the volume of fiber is impressive. Everybody
will get addresses and there is always more hair & fur! And this is a big
spill.
We have thousands of boom in warehouses right on the water for donation to the
Coast Guard. Only BP, Coast Guard, Harbor & Public Works and Emergency
Management teams can safely deploy boom and properly remove oily boom to haz
waste disposal sites.
Please note the speed of the hair and how the alpaca, llama & fur floats as high
as the synthetic boom. A combination of these donated natural fibers is ideal.

We all want to see these donated booms put to good use. Please help us to urge
BP as that way cash strapped Gulf Coast communities don't pick up the tab for
haz waste disposal.
